The impossibility of a precise archeology of the mind, internal imagery corroded, fixated, contaminated by the exterior, the past; transmitted over generations, animal to human, primal disruptions, personal fracas that’s carried on. The undoable transfer to the surface, the outsider; the urge to hold everything still; a rabbit captured by blazing headlights, for a second. Nothing is set, nothing is fixed, we hold on to the sides of the river bank but the grass will let go. Painting as a direct introscopy, an instant tunneling of the senses.
Every other day I target an image out of Tageszeitung and let it collide with my mental library.
